Poems My Grandmother Taught Me

Just A-Dreaming

Today I’ll pretend I’m a big white cloud
Floating around the sky,
And maybe I’ll touch a sunbeam
As I go gliding by.
I’ll coast along with a bird or two,
Flying south somewhere,
And I’ll look down on the earth and see
The cars and people there.
And if I hear a whirring sound,
I know what I’ll do,
I’ll open up myself and let
An airplane through!
