Poems My Grandmother Taught Me

The Kiss

You threw me a kiss from the window
As you drove away,
And I reached out and caught it
For another day.

It will bring me a rainbow
When I am blue,
And ease the pain
Of missing you.

You threw me a kiss from the window,
Now while we are apart,
I’ll wrap it up in love,
And carry it in my heart.
