Poems My Grandmother Taught Me

Possessions

I have no Oriental rugs,
No costly silverware,
I don’t own cut-glass dishes and
My china isn’t rare.
My linens aren’t the finest, nor
My furniture the best.
But my home offers comfort, and
It is a place for rest.
I may not have the finer things
That some are boasting of,
But I have peace, and faith and hope
And happiness and love!
