Poems My Grandmother Taught Me

From My Flower Garden

Oh, I love all the flowers!
The sweet Columbine
Has always been
A love of mine.
And the dainty
Mignonette
Is a flower
You can’t forget.
The short little Pansy,
Sweet William and Phlox,
The hardy Snapdragon,
And gay Hollyhocks,
Verbena and Daisy,
Chrysanthemum,
Are all friends of mine!
Blue Delphinium,
Old-fashioned Zinnia
And Marigold,
Make an exquisite
Sight to behold.
The Tulip and Aster,
And Dahlia and Rose,
Oh, I love every flower
In the garden that grows!
