Poems My Grandmother Taught Me

Buttons And Laces

One-a-diddle, two-a-diddle,
Shucks and skiddle-fiddle,
I can’t tie my shoe!
Three-a-ziddle, four-a-ziddle,
Gosh and fiddle-skiddle,
My buttons I can’t do!
Sigh again, Oh my again,
Try again, and then, and then,
One-a-diddle, two-a-diddle,
Shucks and skiddle-fiddle,
I can tie my shoe!
And button buttons, too!
